Solvepoint President, Mark Karaman speaks at O'Reilly Open Source Convention on Open Source in the Enterprise
Mark Karaman, President of Solvepoint Corporation, spoke at the 2001 O'Reilly OSCON (Open Source Convention) in San Diego.
"The choice is not whether to use Open Source technologies or not. It's about leveraging both Open Source and Commercial Software, together. Best in class solutions to modern day challenges will increasingly draw on both pools of technology. To be truly expert in solution creation requires one to be expert in both Open Source and non-Open Source technologies," says Mark Karaman, adding "It was quite a rush for Solvepoint to be placed between speakers from Cisco and Yahoo on the session track."
Of the event, John P. Wiaziwsky said, "We know the word convergence is overused. But we really are a company that converges previously separate disciplines, as exemplified by our ability to demonstrate thought leadership in both Open Source and Commercial Software spheres."
